SLA and Acceptable Usage

This document covers the Service Level Agreement and Acceptable Usage for the rayhl.org minecraft hosting platform.

Terms

("we", "us", "our", "rayhl", "our service" and "hosting platform" refer to the rayhl.org minecraft hosting platform, accessible to users under panel.rayhl.org.)

("you", "your" refers to a client of the rayhl.org minecraft hosting platform.)

("client" refers to a user of the rayhl.org minecraft hosting platform. This may be by using the panel (panel.rayhl.org) to host your server which you can connect to in Minecraft via a mchost.rayhl.org address)

SLA

Our goal is to give you a 24/7 online hosting platform for Vanilla Minecraft, Paper, Forge and Fabric servers without "idle" shutdowns.

We can not guarantee 100% uptime, but we actively maintain the nodes and panel to let you keep playing and your servers running as close to our goal as possible.

Because of our free model, we do not provide financial compensation and can not promise extra server resources as compensation for downtime, data loss or any unexpected events.

We do not intentionally destroy, restrict access to or modify server files or data without breach of the Acceptable Usage for the hosting platform or asking for support with your server. We cannot, however, guarantee data loss or corruption will not happen. You are responsible for keeping local or cloud-based backups of your server.

We will notify you of any changes to these terms via an announcement in your panel. You must comply with updated terms within 48 hours of that notice to continue using the service. We will not make further changes to these terms within 3 days of a previous change.

Acceptable Usage

While using our hosting platform, you may not use our service to host, run or upload malware. You may also not use our service for phishing, C2 Servers ("command-and-control"), spam, or other activity that is not directly related to Minecraft Server Hosting. Running standalone Discord bots, independent web servers, or using your server to provide hosting services to others is strictly prohibited. Legitimate Minecraft server plugins that connect to external services (such as DiscordSRV) are permitted, provided they only serve your specific Minecraft community.

Violations of these will result in your account and servers being revoked as well as your forfeiture of using our service in the future.

You may only use our service for lawful reasons and not to harm other servers, people or entities. This includes a strict ban on using our services for:

• Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks,
• Port scanning a network
• Circumventing restrictions from governments, rate limiting or other forms of network security.
• Hosting, distributing, or transmitting any data that may contain viruses, worms, rootkits, spyware, adware, Trojan horses, or other malware.
• Using our services in any way that breaches any local, national or international laws and regulations
• Running Cryptocurrency mining or similar applications or workloads to consume shared system resources or gain monetary value from our service

Account inactivity is dealt with on a case-by-case basis. If your panel account has not started, restarted, or modified any server you own within a consecutive 2-month period, your server files may be compressed into an archive (.zip) alongside an informational text note. Upon logging back in after this period, you are free to continue using the host. You can choose to reset your server or extract your archived server back into the server directory. Server archives from account inactivity are kept for 4 months after their creation date, after which they may be deleted.
