This document covers the Service Level Agreement and Acceptable Usage for the rayhl.org minecraft hosting platform.
("we", "us", "our", "rayhl", "our service" and "hosting platform" refer to the rayhl.org minecraft hosting platform, accessible to users under panel.rayhl.org.)
("you", "your" refers to a client of the rayhl.org minecraft hosting platform.)
("client" refers to a user of the rayhl.org minecraft hosting platform. This may be by using the panel (panel.rayhl.org) to host your server which you can connect to in Minecraft via a mchost.rayhl.org address)
("EULA" refers to "End-User-License-Agreement" of the respecting company or organization)
Our goal is to give you a 24/7 free online hosting platform for Vanilla Minecraft, Paper, Forge and Fabric servers without "idle" shutdowns.
We can not guarantee 100% uptime, but we actively maintain the nodes and panel to let you keep playing and your servers running as close to our goal as possible.
Because of our free model, we do not provide financial compensation and can not promise extra server resources as compensation for downtime, data loss or any unexpected events.
We do not intentionally destroy, restrict access to or modify server files or data without breach of the Acceptable Usage for the hosting platform or asking for support with your server. We cannot, however, guarantee data loss or corruption will not happen. You are responsible for keeping local or cloud-based backups of your server.
We will notify you of any changes to these terms via an announcement in your panel. You must comply with updated terms within 5 days of that notice to continue using the service. We will not make further changes to these terms within 3 days of a previous change.

While using our hosting platform, you may not use our service to host, run or upload malware. You may also not use our service for phishing, C2 Servers ("command-and-control"), spam, or other activity that is not directly related to Minecraft Server Hosting. Running standalone Discord bots, independent web servers, or using your server to provide hosting services to others is strictly prohibited. Legitimate Minecraft server plugins that connect to external services (such as DiscordSRV) are permitted, provided they only serve your specific Minecraft community.
Violations of these will result in your account and servers being revoked as well as your forfeiture of using our service in the future.
You may only use our service for lawful reasons and not to harm other servers, people or entities. This includes a strict ban on using our services for:
Account inactivity is dealt with on a case-by-case basis. If your panel account has not started, restarted, or modified any server you own within a consecutive 2-month period, your server files may be compressed into an archive (.zip) alongside an informational text note. Upon logging back in after this period, you are free to continue using the host. You can choose to reset your server or extract your archived server back into the server directory. Server archives from account inactivity are kept for 4 months after their creation date, after which they may be deleted.
You must not share access to your account or account information like passwords with others. If you wish for multiple users to be able to access the panel of your server, please create a subuser instead.
Our service is provided as-is with no warranties; use at your own risk.
Monetization of servers and Minecraft EULAYou are allowed to monetize your rayhl.org Minecraft server, however:
- You must use a custom domain (Example: mystore.com). You are not permitted to use the *.mchost.rayhl.org domain while monetizing your server via stores that utilize real-life currency. Non profit or non monetized and private servers are the only permitted servers to publicly use the *mchost.rayhl.org domain. You must still abide by the Acceptable Usage guidelines listed on this page regardless if you set a custom domain.
- You acknowledge you are liable for your own server's transactions. rayhl.org will not deal with your server's refunds, player disputes or store management.
- You acknowledge that if your server receives a EULA abuse complaint or threatens the rayhl.org domain usage from Mojang your server will be shut down and a warning will go to you. You will be forced to comply with the Minecraft EULA or your server may be permanently blacklisted from starting by us.
Regardless of your server's monetary or domain, you must still follow the Minecraft End-User-License-Agreement. Reports of EULA non complaince may be submitted at ray@rayhl.org.
SubusersYou can ask for subusers to be created for your server. This will allow people to have access to your server in specific ways, such as console, file management and more.
Adding a subuser can be good to allow multiple people to have access to your server, however you must be aware of the risks.
You are responsible for any action/s that a subuser does on your server. This may place your server in a position where if a subuser breaks the acceptable usage guidelines, your server may be suspended.
You and the subuser could be at risk of losing access to the service if one of the acceptable usage guidelines rules are broken.
Please make sure that your subusers are aware of the AUG and SLA before they use the service.
rayhl is *not* responsible for any actions, such as file deletion, caused by subusers. Please keep responsible backups of your server offsite and make sure you can trust your subusers.
Subusers must NOT share their account credentials with others.
