On the 21st of September 2026, services affecting one or multiple services related to the rayhl.org Minecraft Hosting Service Occured.
The affected service/s were:
- panel
- main-node
- m4-node (*)
What happened
The affected services faced a power-related incident.
The power
used by the panel, main-node, m4-node and the relating internet faced
temporary downtime.
Our UPS protected our server equipment from shutting off unexpectedly. However, the outage caused our networking to go down, as well as the main-node and panel server from shutting off due to apcupsd shutting the servers down safely before the UPS batteries died.
The backup generator was placed online around 20:10, allowing services to continue through the outage. We do not expect any further downtime relating to this incident.
There is no known data loss or corruption caused by this incident. There was aprox. 30-60 minutes of downtime to the public-facing services.
* - The m4-node was not shut off due to this outage because of the in built batteries within the machine powering the node, however the networking outage caused the node to be unusable for the downtime.
